Can my wig be refunded ?

In this article, we will try to enlighten you on the questions you might have regarding the reimbursement of your wig. Do not hesitate to come and discover our range of wigs. Please note that not all models are available on the website.

What is the difference with a classic wig ? :

A so-called "medical" wig is intended to be worn every day. Indeed, its composition allows the scalp to breathe and to promote hair growth. It is also of a higher quality than the classic wig, which is intended to be worn occasionally. For example, to change your look for an evening out.

What are the conditions of care ? :

A class I hair prosthesis corresponds to a wig made entirely of synthetic hair, the price of which does not exceed 350€. In this case, the social security system will cover the entire cost, i.e. 100%.

A class II hair prosthesis corresponds to a wig with at least 30% natural hair. Its price cannot exceed 700€ and its coverage is a maximum of 250€.

A class III hair prosthesis corresponds to volumizers or bangs (natural or synthetic accompanied by a turban). Here, the reimbursement is up to 125€.

We would like to inform you that wigs costing more than 700€ cannot be reimbursed.

What steps should be taken to have your wig reimbursed ? :

In order to obtain reimbursement for your wig, you must have several documents in your possession :

• A prescription written by your doctor or your oncologist,
• The invoice of your hair prosthesis as well as the care sheet (these documents are established by the seller)

Once these three documents have been collected, you must send them to your social security office to obtain reimbursement. Only one reimbursement can be made per year.

It is possible that a complement is taken in charge by your mutual insurance company. For this, we invite you to get in touch with your insurance company to find out the terms and conditions as well as the rates of reimbursement to which you may be entitled.

Additional information :

The first purchase of your wig must be made in a boutique in order to obtain reimbursement.

Finally, when you buy online, the reimbursement by the social security only works when it is a renewal.
